FROM 5 ECO-CONSCIOUS BRANDS

HiBear Adventure Flask - Sierra Sippin'

The All-Day Adventure Flask.  Voted "Best Tailgating Gear of 2022" by Outside Magazine.  Hibear’s versatile, insulated, easy-to-clean, and rugged utility bottle is designed to make everything from cold brew to tea to cocktails, yet it's simple enough to use as an everyday water bottle.  The All-Day Adventure Flask’s interior is coated with glass — dubbed the Glass Shield Technology.  It’s an ultra-thin glass coating that has been applied to the stainless steel, getting the nonabsorbent benefits of glass without the whole break-ability thing.  So, yes, your beverages will be touching glass primarily, which assures your beverages won’t taste funky, and that the Flask will be a snap to clean.  Wondering how?  Demystify the flask here.

Hibear Adventure Flask

Hibear has a strong commitment to sustainability and being part of the climate change solution. They believe the products they create have a direct and profound impact on reducing the amount of trash in our landfills and oceans.  All of the packaging and products are delivered with recyclable and thoughtfully crafted reusable materials.  Be sure to check out the reusable attached tags (a bookmark/ruler, artwork & artist information, product details and a Spotify playlist - just create a free account to access).  Beyond the packaging, Hibear achieves it's  eco-conscious goals through long-lasting design quality, reusability, and being a 1% for the Planet member and Climate Neutral Certified.

The Nature Academy - Notebook

This notebook conserves forests, promotes biodiversity, supports recycling and causes zero deforestation.  Sugarcane accounts for 80% of sugar production in the world.  After extracting the juice out of sugarcane, bagasse are the by-products.  Bagasse paper products exceed environmental parameters set forth by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI), and other prominent forest management organizations.  Before people realized that sugarcane bagasse is a precious renewable resource, it was just a bio-waste, but nowadays, bagasse is regarded as a valuable, renewable resource.

The Nature Academy Sugarcane Notebook

This Earth-Friendly notebook is 8.25" x 5.75" with 80 sheets of paper and twin-wire binding.  The books are lined and use heavy-weight 20# paper made from Sugarcane.  The sugarcane plant grows extremely fast, three harvests a year compared to tree paper that can take 10 years.   Also, unlike tree paper heavy gas guzzling machines are not needed to chop and grind up this plant.  This sugarcane notebook is 100% recyclable and you can also compost the pages (not the binding) and they will biodegrade in 30 to 90 days.
MSRP $17.89

Handmade Seed Embedded Paper

The paper used to display the QR Code is handmade in Nepal by rural craftspeople in an environmentally friendly process with 50% recycled content.  The raw material in this paper is the  Daphne bush. It is farmed and harvested from 3-4 year old plants that are cut and stripped of bark.

recycled seed paper

The plant is not destroyed when cut down and it regenerates from the root.  The cane like stick, once the bark is removed, is dried and used to heat the villager's homes, as fuel for cooking and in the production of this paper.  All water used in the paper production is reclaimed and reused.  The bark is beaten by hand, boiled into pulp, mixed with recycled pulp & paper scrap collected from the card and envelope manufacturing process) then pored into screens to form sheets.  The sheets are then dried in the sun. The entire process is earth friendly and provides a community with a healthy enterprise.

You can choose to recycle this paper, compost it, or even plant it and watch flowers bloom. Each sheet is embedded with seeds that will grow in North America.  Seeds in the paper include 10 annual and perennial species which tolerate partial shade, need 4 hours a day of direct sunlight, and grow to about 3 feet.  Seeds include Snapdragon, Petunia, Beardtounge, Daisy, Thyme, Poppy, Foxglove, Catchfly, Maiden Pinks, Chamomile.  If you plant this paper in a pot or in your garden please cover with 1/8" of soil to keep it moist until established; as germinating seeds and seedlings cannot survive even a brief drought.
Made in Nepal.  Printed on Recycled Paper.

Eco Enclose Tissue Paper

Eco Enclose recycled tissue paper

Eco Enclose tissue is recycled, recyclable and naturally biodegradable.  This tissue paper is 100% recycled and FSC certified using 20% post-consumer waste.  It is first and foremost reusable, so please reuse for wrapping or personal storage.  Specifically Note: it is Neutral Ph-anti-tarnish and safe for silverware, jewelry, and photographs.  Recyclable, naturally biodegradable, compostable & made in the USA.

Kraft Paper

Apart from its superior strength and protection, Kraft paper is 100% eco-friendly.  Kraft paper is manufactured from virgin wood pulp, making it organic.  And kraft paper can be recycled up to seven times.  It degrades naturally within a few weeks, decomposing just like leaves that fall off a tree.  It leaves no impact on the environment.

Kraft Paper

We reuse the kraft packaging that comes in the boxes from our suppliers.  Since we select eco-conscious brands, they rarely use extra packaging unless necessary (think protecting reusable candle jars during shipping).
We recommend that you reuse the kraft paper for your shipping or wrapping needs or simply drop in your recycle bin, burn in your fireplace or outdoor firepit, or use in your planting with your other compostables.

Our Box is a Boox

Booxes are made from corrugated polypropylene sheets, using a patent-pending design. Produced in the US from a combination of new and post-consumer polypropylene (#5 on the recycled plastics chart – PCR).  Boox has a goal to improve the post-consumer percentage over time, eventually getting to 100% PCR. They are also experimenting with material made from ocean plastics and other sources.  Boox chose polypropylene (PP) for a variety of reasons - It’s waterproof, tear-proof, and lighter than cardboard, while still being rigid and durable enough to protect products during shipping.
Save the Rock Box - Box by Boox.eco
Eack Boox box can be reused many times before reaching the end of life. But, at end of life, PP can be processed back into more Booxes efficiently.  Many people think of plastics as detrimental to the environment. Boox would like to encourage people to think differently about it - SINGLE-USE plastics (but really any single-use product) are bad for the environment and can end up in rivers and oceans where they don’t degrade for a long time. But, that same longevity can be put to great use if we can change the culture of consumption and shift towards the circular economy.   Scan the QR Code on the Boox to return it so it can be used again and again and again and again ...
