SUMMER 2026 BOX
Kitchen Eco-ssentials for the season

Olive & Loom Hand-Stitched Tea Towel Set
Playful, polished, and made for everyday use, this set of two coordinating tea towels brings the color and character of the Mediterranean coast into the kitchen. One features cheerful yellow-and-blue checks, while the other is finished with hand-stitched sardine motifs inspired by seaside markets and relaxed coastal living. Together, they make a distinctive pairing that feels collected rather than matched.
Crafted from 100% Turkish cotton, the towels are soft, absorbent, and quick-drying. Use them for drying dishes and glassware, lining a breadbasket, wrapping a fresh loaf, or adding an artful layer to a kitchen counter or table.
Olive & Loom was founded by Istanbul-raised Ferzan Jaeger, who blends the traditions, colors, and textures of Turkey with a fresh, modern aesthetic. The brand’s focus on functional goods and artisanal details gives this useful kitchen essential a sense of place and craftsmanship.
Follow the care instructions on the label to preserve the cotton and hand stitching. With continued use, the towels should become softer and more familiar.
Once they are no longer suited for the kitchen, repurpose them as cleaning or polishing cloths, donate them while still in good condition, or cut into very small pieces, add to your compost pile (put in pick-up compost bin) or bury in your flower bed or garden. The pieces will help the soil maintain water and will biodegrade in 1 week to 5 months (depending on the size of the pieces).

HERACLEA FOOD CO. OLIVE OIL COLLECTION
A tasting journey through the olive groves of Turkey’s Aegean coast, this beautifully presented collection brings together Heraclea’s complete range of extra virgin olive oils. Six 250 ml bottles invite you to experience how harvest time and carefully chosen ingredients can transform a single-estate olive oil.
The Early Harvest is intensely fruity, grassy, and peppery, making it a natural choice for dipping, salads, and finishing a dish. The Mature Harvest offers a smoother, creamier flavor suited to everyday cooking. Four small-batch infusions, Garlic, Chili, Rosemary, and Lemon, add an effortless layer of flavor to vegetables, seafood, pasta, marinades, dressings, and fresh bread. Each infusion is made with real ingredients and contains no added flavorings.
Heraclea was founded by Berk and Sena Bahceci to share the quality and heritage of Turkish olive oil. Every oil begins with Memecik olives from the family’s century-old groves near Mount Latmos in Milas, Turkey. The olives are hand-picked through a community harvest and cold-pressed at Heraclea’s own mill on the day they are gathered, allowing the company to oversee the journey from grove to bottle. The oils are PDO, USDA Organic, and Fair Trade Certified. Heraclea farms without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or artificial irrigation while supporting the people and traditions of its olive-growing community.
For the best flavor, keep the bottles tightly capped in a cool, dark cabinet away from the stove, and enjoy opened oils within approximately three months.
Once empty, rinse the bottles and recycle.

Its generous surface offers an elegant setting for appetizers, roasted vegetables, seafood, pastries, cheese, or a thoughtfully arranged dessert.
Made in Brazil, Porto Brasil stoneware brings together modern ceramic technology and distinctive design. The platter has near-zero water absorption and offers high resistance to scratches, stains, chipping, and cracking, giving it the durability to move easily from casual meals to more polished occasions. To preserve the stoneware, avoid sudden temperature changes, direct contact with flames, and placing the heated platter onto a cold surface. With proper care, it is designed to remain part of the table for years.
If the platter is no longer needed, pass it along or donate it while it remains in usable condition. A chipped platter can be repurposed as a decorative tray, plant stand, catchall or mosaic artwork.

Handmade Seed Embedded Paper
The paper used to display the QR Code is handmade in Nepal by rural craftspeople in an environmentally friendly process with 50% recycled content. The raw material in this paper is the Daphne bush. It is farmed and harvested from 3-4 year old plants that are cut and stripped of bark. The plant is not destroyed when cut down and it regenerates from the root. The cane like stick, once the bark is removed, is dried and used to heat the villager's homes, as fuel for cooking and in the production of this paper. All water used in the paper production is reclaimed and reused. The bark is beaten by hand, boiled into pulp, mixed with recycled pulp & paper scrap collected from the card and envelope manufacturing process) then pored into screens to form sheets. The sheets are then dried in the sun. The entire process is earth friendly and provides a community with a healthy enterprise.
You can choose to recycle this paper, compost it, or even plant it and watch flowers bloom. Each sheet is embedded with seeds that will grow in North America. Seeds in the paper include 10 annual and perennial species which tolerate partial shade, need 4 hours a day of direct sunlight, and grow to about 3 feet. Seeds include Snapdragon, Petunia, Beardtounge, Daisy, Thyme, Poppy, Foxglove, Catchfly, Maiden Pinks, Chamomile. If you plant this paper in a pot or in your garden please cover with 1/8" of soil to keep it moist until established; as germinating seeds and seedlings cannot survive even a brief drought.

Our Box is a Boox
Booxes are made from corrugated polypropylene sheets, using a patent-pending design. Produced in the US from a combination of new and post-consumer polypropylene (#5 on the recycled plastics chart – PCR).
Boox has a goal to improve the post-consumer percentage over time, eventually getting to 100% PCR. They are also experimenting with material made from ocean plastics and other sources. Boox chose polypropylene (PP) for a variety of reasons. It’s waterproof, tear-proof, and lighter than cardboard, while still being rigid and durable enough to protect products during shipping. That means each Boox box can be reused many times before reaching the end of life. But, at end of life, PP can be processed back into more Booxes efficiently.
Many people think of plastics as detrimental to the environment. Boox would like to encourage people to think differently about it— SINGLE-USE plastics (but really any single-use product) are bad for the environment and can end up in rivers and oceans where they don’t degrade for a long time. But, that same longevity can be put to great use if we can change the culture of consumption and shift towards the circular economy.
Scan the QR Code on the Boox to return it so it can be used again and again and again and again ...
